Houghton Feast Parade 2023

So proud of our team today. What a parade!
16 swimmers and their parent helped pull together a float that looked amazing in 30 mins. What team spirit we built. AMAZING 👏
I can’t thank Sarah Harrison, Scarlet Francis , Emma Swift and all the parents who made ti’s happen. Swimmers were so well behaved.
Thank you all and here’s to next year. Xx yes I’m emotional

Those who are taking part in the parade will need to sign a waiver before getting on the float.Can everyone meet at the car park behind the library at 12.30 / 1 pm at the latest.Can I also remind everyone to wear blue tops or club t shirts and medals.Could you let us know if you will be coming.Sorry for short notice

South Tyneside Gala update

Following on from Harriets fabulous performance in Fridays 1500, the team of 15 managed to knock off 142 seconds and gained 8 medals on Saturday.

Callum and Olivia joined the competitive squad and swam their first competitive gala on Saturday with great times. We even managed to get a sneaky visit to the park at lunchtime for some fun. Well done squad 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️🏆🥇Anya
Sunday was just as exciting.
Well another Fantastic day of swimming today from 11 swimmers, Olivia taking a massive 50secs off entry time
Lots of PBs and swims on PB
Addison gold in 200 free.

Hetton ASC AGM

🏊Another diary date

The club AGM will take place at the Hetton Centre on Wednesday, November 15, from 7-9pm.

Parents and members are welcome to attend, but we are limited by numbers. So if anyone wishes to attend, could you please let our club secretary know via email at secretary.hettonasc@outlook.com

Or if anyone wishes to raise any issues at the AGM and can’t be there in person, you can do so via email.

Anyone wishing to be considered for committee membership must be proposed by an existing member at the meeting. If this is something you are considering please get in touch.

We are also still looking for parent volunteers for the gala and for other club positions – including gala timekeepers and judges. Again, if you think you can help, please drop us a message.

New club management app coming!!!

To help with managing the club’s memberships we will be moving from paper-based membership forms and sign up to a club management app. The app we will be using is called Coacha. 

 

This will allow you to keep your data with the club upto date as you will have the ability to update your information if anything changes (I.e. address, contact details, medical information etc), receive messages from the club via emails and on the app noticeboard, receive upcoming event notifications and view training session schedules. 

 

To move over to the new app, we will be emailing out membership sign ups. This will be the process for new members signing up and we will need existing members or their parents/guardians to do the sign up as well so that we have everyone’s latest information and so that you create your app login account. 

 

If you have multiple swimmers, you will need to do the sign up for each swimmer. If the swimmer is under 18 their next of kin will be the person with the login account (They will also be the person who receives email and notifications on their behalf) and the same email address for next of kin can be used for multiple swimmers. 

 

Once your signup has been accepted you will receive an email back from Coacha with details on options of how to log into the app and where to get it from.
